Volkswagen Group Of America Diversity Ranked Among The Top 25

Volkswagen Group of America has recently been honored by DiversityInc Consulting and Benchmarking for the ethnic and gender diversity among its workforce, being listed as one of the “Top 25 Noteworthy Companies for Diversity” in the United States.

According to a release from Volkswagen Group of America, each of the companies in the running were judged in four, equally-weighted areas: Talent Pipeline, Equitable Talent Development, CEO/Leadership Commitment, and Supplier Diversity. Over 1,000 US companies were considered for the honors.

Volkswagen Group of America General Manager of Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility Machelle Williams said that the company “is incredibly proud to earn recognition by DiversityInc as a leading company for diversity and inclusion. This accolade speaks to our dedication in cultivating a work environment, where all employees are afforded equity of opportunity and resources to maximize their talents and reach their full potential.”

Volkswagen Group of America has taken a number of initiatives to boost its workplace diversity, such as an Executive Mentoring Program, and six different employee resource groups. The company also provides financial support for underprivileged neighborhoods through charitable donations.
