In this short and sweet video, Ben Norrell from Hennessey Performance test drives the first 2015 Ford Mustang Hennessey HPE700 before its delivered to a lucky buyer. We’ll always love the exhaust note of the 5.0L V8 Coyote engine, but the whine of that blower sounds as glorious as an angelic choir.
The 2.9L supercharger system boosts the Mustang’s power up to a quite healthy 717 horses and 632 pound-feet of torque, or as Ben puts it, “crazy fast.” And with the switch to an independent rear suspension, the 2015 Mustang GT leaves the factory with some impressive handling. Ben says that the added power puts the Mustang on another level, and really lets the driver have some real fun. The look on his face alone is enough to convince us of that, and the 3.6 second 0-60 should be enough to quiet any skeptics.
We haven’t been able to get enough of the 2015 Mustang Hennessey HPE700, and would love to get behind its wheel. But the question is, would you order one if you had the funds, or get the 2016 Mustang Shelby GT355? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
