The A7 family — which includes the A7, S7 and RS7 — is by no means an Audi sales leader. What it is, however, is a great midsize “sportback” (a cross between a sedan, coupe, and hatchback) that is sporty, comfortable, and stylish. And it’s getting some welcome updates for the 2016 model year.
To start, the 2016 Audi A7’s 3.0TFSI engine and 2016 Audi S7’s 4.0TFSI engines receive enhancements that result in more power and increased fuel efficiency.
The most immediately-noticeable change to the 2016 Audi A7 family is the exterior design, which features a new front and rear fascias. At the front, a new front fascia includes new LED headlight design for an unmistakable light signature wrapping a widened Singleframe grill. Meanwhile, revised bumper covers produce a more focused stance. At the rear, new LED taillights and trapezoidal tailpipes are integrated into the lower bumper.
Inside, the 2016 Audi A7 family offers the same host of technology enhancements as the 2016 A6 family, including available driver assistance features including night vision with animal detection, adaptive cruise control with new Stop&Go function, and secondary collision assist.
In addition, the 2016 Audi A7 family delivers new infotainment systems that provide even higher levels of interior luxury and refinement. They are supported through the onboard MMI system with NVIDIA quad core technology and the Audi connect system, which now accesses the internet via a 4G LTE connection, enabling faster speeds for Google Earth and Google Street View as well as an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot for passenger use.
