Audi U.S. Sales Up 7.5 Percent To 16,827 Units In April 2015

U.S. Audi dealers delivered 16,827 new vehicles in April 2015, a 7.5 percent increase compared to April 2014.
The results represent the luxury brand’s 52nd consecutive month of record U.S. sales as well as its best-ever April in history in the United States; the previous April record was set in 2014 with sales of 15,653 vehicles.
“This spring, our dealers continued to show robust sales performance across the Audi product portfolio,” said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. “Strong demand in particular for models such as the Audi Q3 and the A3 gives us confidence that we will continue to draw new customers to our brand well into the summer.”
April 2015 notes (vs. April 2014, except as noted):
- A3 family up 27 percent to 3,187 units, its best-ever monthly sales result since launch
- A6 family up seven units
- Q3 sold 1,065 units
- Q5 family up 14.24 percent to 3,762 units
- Q7 family up 10 percent to 1,620 units
- Cumulative SUV (Q3, Q5, Q7) sales were up 35.6 percent
- Sales of all other Audi models were down on a year-over-year basis
- Through the first four months of 2015, Audi U.S. sales rose 11.9 percent from the same time period last year to 56,925 vehicles
- Audi Certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicle sales grew 7.3 percent to 3,971 units, setting a new April record. Through the first four months of 2015, CPO sales grew 9 percent
- Audi continues to hold the longest-running monthly record sales streak in the premium car market according to a competitive sales report from MotorIntelligence.com
