Porsche Cars North America Donates $500k To Atlanta BeltLine Partnership

Since 1998, Atlanta, Georgia has been the official home of Porsche Cars North America, and on May 7th, a new PCNA Headquarters and Porsche Experience Center had its official grand opening there.

It was at this grand opening that Dr. Wolfgang Porsche – Chairman of the Porsche AG Advisory Board, and son of the late Ferdinand “Ferry” Porsche – announced a half-a-million dollar donation to the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership.

The $500,000 donation, presented by Porsche Cars North America, will help the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership in its mission of creating a host of public parks and developing an extensive local transit system, encircling the Atlanta downtown area. It represents the most expansive transportation and economic development effort ever to occur in the city of Atlanta.

Porsche Cars North America employees working out of Atlanta have also donated time and effort into the Piedmont Park Conservatory, Trees Atlanta, and Chattahoochee Riverkeeper local beautification projects.

Porsche Cars North America President and CEO Detlev von Platen said of the donation: “Atlanta is known for its rich heritage and strong sense of community. In supporting the BeltLine, we would like to do our part to sustain the beauty and allure of this great city for many years to come.”
