Typically, when a celebrity-owned car gets posted for sale, we find that our level of interest has as much to do with how much we care for the celebrity owner as it does the car itself.
But then there’s this 1971 Lamborghini Miura for sale on eBay which, not particularly being Rod Stewart devotees in any sense of the word, we’re pretty sure we would kill for nonetheless.
A big thanks to Car Scoops for uncovering this eBay listing. Beside having belonged to a best-selling British rockstar at some point in its past life, this Lamborghini Miura happens to be pretty spotless, to boot. Only 28,731 original miles are counted on the odometer, despite having had four past owners. Better still, while having been built originally to P400S spec, the Miura was rebuilt to match the performance and equipment of the SV model. That means a 13 HP bump to 383 ponies, a limited-slip differential, and a different suspension with a 5-inch wider rear track.
Rod Stewart’s old 1971 Lamborghini Miura is posted for sale in the UK. Things like the SV-spec conversion, restoration of the original Blu Notte paint, etc. piled up to total about $152,000 US, which helps to explain the $1.9 million asking price. But rockstar previous owner or no, that seems like an entirely justifiable cost for such a spotless, exquisite Lamborghini Miura.
