The Volkswagen Beetle Pink Color Edition Concept Is All Sorts Of Pink

Volkswagen introduced the Beetle Pink Color Edition Concept at the 2015 New York International Auto Show in April. As the name implies, the concept is all sorts of pink inside and out.

The concept car proudly wears the Pink Metallic exterior hue, while the door mirror housings and side body moldings are painted in contrasting gray. The concept wears the aggressive R-Line front and rear bumper covers for a more dramatic appearance.

The concept’s pink theme is carried into the interior, with Pink Metallic used as a contrast to all of the features executed in black, chrome and aluminum inside the car. The dashpad is finished in high-gloss Titanium Black, but most of the other elements are customized in Pink Metallic, including such details as the door shoulder panels, air vent surrounds, steering wheel spoke trim, and the stitching around the steering wheel and shift lever and the borders of the floormats.

Volkswagen says that there is growing demand for a pink Beetle at Volkswagen dealers, especially in the U.S. as well as in China. As such, the automaker will be assessing public reaction to the Beetle Pink Color Edition concept. Given a positive reaction, a limited-edition is possible. What’s also possible is an even higher proportion of pink inside the vehicle, along with a convertible variant.
