Russian football FC Anji has decided to celebrate their recent success in a way that could probably only happen in Russia: by constructing a massive Lamborghini Gallardo statue outside of their stadium.
The gaudy display measures 25 meters in length, is 7 meters high and over 11 meters wide, which is enough to net it a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records, according to the team’s barely legible article on the orange Lamborghini. The article also thanks the team’s partners “for this exclusive present that’ll always symbolize big and splendid success of our team”.
According to GTspirit.com, Anji FC is owned by Russian oligarch Suleyman Kerimov, who’s known for having a large collection of expensive cars. That doesn’t really explain why a Lamborghini was erected out front of his team’s stadium, but it does seem like something a Russian billionaire would do.
