The Lamborghini Huracan and Porsche 911 Turbo are two very different ways to cover the standing mile. The Lambo rockets you down the track using the thrust provided by its mid-mounted 602 horsepower 5.2-liter V10, while the Porsche’s wheels are driven by a 560 horsepower twin turbocharged 3.8-liter flat six located in its rear.
The two supercars may have contrasting powerplants, but their performance is actually quite similar. Two owners of these cars discovered this fact when participating in the Unlim 500+ in Russia, lining up the cars for what was to be one of the closest races between two production cars we’ve ever seen.
At first the Porsche gets the jump, but the Huracan quickly makes up the ground it’s lost and the race is neck and neck for its remainder. These two six-figure cars are both part of the Volkswagen Group of brands, but neither showed any mercy when rocketing down the track in this family feud.
There are really no losers in this race, because even if you get beat, you’re still the owner of one of the fastest cars on the planet. But if you want to know which car made it to the finish line first, check out the video below.
