Porsche AG, Lufthansa German Airlines Join Forces To Offer Stunning Drives

It seems like first class airline passengers get all the perks these days. Case in point: Porsche AG has teamed with Lufthansa German Airlines to offer special rates on Porsche 911 and Panamera rentals in Munich, available to any first class or private jet passenger.

As a matter of fact, this partnership between Porsche AG and Lufthansa began in late 2013 at the Frankfurt airport; demand was so high, and feedback so thoroughly positive, that the two German firms decided to extend the offer to privileged flyers out of Munich, as well.

Basically, this is how it works: if you are a first class or private jet passenger with Lufthansa, and have some time to kill before your flight out of Munich or Frankfurt, you can get a special 3-hour rental rate for a Porsche 911 or a Porsche Panamera with AVIS. Each of the cars costs just €99.10 for that length of time, with fuel and insurance included, for up to 150 km. Cars can be booked in advance, or secured in-the-moment at the First Class Lounge desk (subject to availability).

Each car even comes with several scenic, attractive routes in and around town already programmed into the onboard satellite navigation memory.

With this first class driving experience, Porsche AG and Lufthansa German Airlines build on an existing relationship; the airline has already, for several years, used Porsche Panamera and Cayenne models to transport first class passengers across the tarmac both to and from their planes. It’s just too bad that this is a luxury we’ll never know.
