It’s important to get creative when photographing a car. With the abundance of amateur car photographers all around the web these days, it’s easy for your pictures to look exactly like everyone else’s, unless you give your work a bit of flare.
Swiss photographer Fabian Oefner knows a thing or two about flare, a fact that was on display when he shot the 2015 Ferrari California T for the Italian automaker. He situated the car in a wind tunnel and misted it with red, yellow and blue UV paint using a homemade rig as it sat under 40 UV lights, creating a streamlined multi-color look all over its body panels.
“When you think of a Ferrari you think about beautiful design, but you also think about speed, and I wanted to find a way to visualize both these things,” Oefner said.
