Volkswagen has released full UK pricing and an options list for the updated version of its Caddy van. The Caddy received a minor facelift earlier this year, keeping the somewhat long-in-tooth utility van fresh as it competes with new rivals like the Ford Trans Courier.
Prices for the updated Caddy will start at £13,500 in the UK excluding VAT and OTR charges. That price will net you the entry-level short-wheelbase C20 Starline model, which comes standard with electric windows and mirrors, a five-inch center touchscreen and Composition Colour DAB radio system with Bluetooth. As with the uprated Trendline and Highline models, a long-wheelbase Maxi version is also offered which lengthens the Caddy to 1,781mm and provides an extra 1m3 of load capacity.
Trendline models, which start at £15,670, add different wheel covers, body colored bumpers in the front and back, body colored door handles and side view mirrors, rear parking sensors, cruise control, a multi-function center display, lumbar support for the driver’s side, under seat storage and overhead visors with integrated mirrors. Highline models start at £16,650 and include Highline equipment plus alloy wheels, front fog lights, daytime running lights, climate control A/C, a heated front windscreen, automatic dimming rearview mirror, autosensing wipers and a car alarm.
In addition to standard safety features like front, side and curtain airbags and a post -collision braking system, other safety features like park assist with rear-view reversing camera, Adaptive Cruise Control with auto Front Assist and City Emergency Braking will be offered on the Caddy.
All Caddys will be offered with a 2.0-liter diesel engine, which can be had in 73 horsepower, 100 horsepower or 147 horsepower guise. An optional BlueMotion Technology pack is also available, adding a start-stop and battery regeneration systems, and will be joined by a 65.7 UK MPG diesel BlueMotion variant.
First deliveries for the updated Caddy are expected commence in July.
