2016 Ford Focus RS Pricing To Start At $35,730?

If you’re anything like us, you’ve wanted to know how just how much damage the 345 horsepower 2016 Ford Focus RS would do to your bank account since the automaker first unveiled it at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Now Ford’s accidentally leaked the hot hatchback’s price, and as far as good deals go, the $35,730 Focus RS seems like a homerun.

Ford leaked the price by posting the car configurator page for the Focus RS, presumably not on purpose. This also leaked the standard equipment, which includes 18-inch aluminum wheels, a 10-speaker Sony audio system RS Recaro seats. If you want to splurge, you can opt for a sunroof, 19-inch wheels and $1,990 and Michelin Cup tires.

The Focus RS is one extra addition to Ford’s performance portfolio. It’s nearly $10,000 more expensive than the Focus ST, but with an additional 93 horsepower, all-wheel drive and the ability to do smoky drifts like Ken Block’s Fiesta WRC car, it will be worth it to the Ford fans and hot hatchback enthusiasts. Time will tell if the market prefers the now mainstay competitors in the segment, the $35,490 Subaru WRX STI and $37,425 Volkswagen Golf R.

Ford has yet to confirm the rumored price, but with a Spring 2016 launch date in the near future, we won’t have to wait long to learn the exact number.
