Jenson Button Rumored To Co-Host New Top Gear Alongside Chris Evans

Formula 1 racing driver Jenson Button may be the new co-host of BBC’s Top Gear, The Daily Mail reports. The 35-year old is said to be in talks with the BBC to host the show alongside Chris Evans, who was hired onto the show following Jeremy Clarkson’s firing earlier this year.

One Daily Mail source said “an announcement is imminent,” in regards Button’s appointment. Button has yet to deny the rumors, with he and his spokesperson saying they won’t comment on “speculation.”

A third host is still expected to join the show as rumors hint at former model Jodie Kidd landing the job. BBC director general Tony Hall already made it clear he’d like to see more women on the show, and earlier intel also indicated a female co-host is being considered.
