The 2016 Lincoln MKX, first unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, has officially arrived at Lincoln dealers with a price tag of $38,995 including destination.
Among the many new features in the 2016 MKX is the available 335 horsepower 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine. The more powerful engine option will raise the price of the mid-size luxury crossover to $43,520, making it a $4,525 upgrade from the standard 303 horsepower 3.7-liter V6. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and send power to the front wheels, though all-wheel drive is optional.
The 2016 MKX also offers numerous driver assistance and safety systems. These include Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane-Keeping Alert and Lane-Keeping Aid, a blind spot information system, rear cross traffic alert and a 360-degree camera with enhanced park assist.
Also special to the new MKX is the availability of Lincoln’s ‘Black Label’ super-premium themes. At launch, four Black Label themes will enhance the luxuriousness of the MKX: Thoroughbred, The Muse, Modern Heritage and Indulgence. A special Revel 13-speaker audio system is available, too, providing what Lincoln says is the “ultimate audio quality experience.”
