The entire IndyCar field will have tribute stickers on their car for Justin Wilson at the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma this weekend, however Dale Coyne Racing has eschewed a main sponsor for the race in order to pay tribute to the late racing driver.
Tristan Vautier’s No. 19 Honda will be adorned with a special white and blue paint scheme paying tribute to Wilson, who was killed during the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Sunday. Wilson spent the much of his IndyCar career with the racing outfit and also scored them their first win at Watkins Glen in 2009. Wilson also scored a podium in his first ever race with the team, and earned them five more podiums during his tenure.
Practice for the 2015 GoPro GP of Sonoma will kick off Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET ahead of Sunday’s race at 5:00 p.m. ET.
