Fiat Chrysler Aligns Itself With ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ For New Marketing Campaign

Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles has partnered with Lucasfilm for a new marketing campaign based around the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, The Detroit News reports.

It’s currently unclear what type of commercials or ads the Star Wars and FCA partnership will result in, however the coalition is far from the first Hollywood partnership FCA has formed under the guidance of Chief Marketing Officer Olivier Francois. The Detroit News points out the CMO was responsible for collaborations with Fast and Furious, Anchorman 2’s Will Ferrell and other popular ads.

The FCA bond is one of many corporate partnerships formed for the new Star Wras film. Other companies that have climbed aboard the theoretical starship include CoverGirl, Max Factor, Duracell, General Mills, HP, Subway and Verizon.

According to Lucasfilm, “all of the partnerships strategically complement the tempo and tone of the film’s overall marketing campaign.”
