Hyundai To Launch ‘N’ Performance Brand At Frankfurt Motor Show

Gran Turismo’s Vision GT project has inspired the world’s automakers to build radical, no-compromises virtual concept cars with a focus on performance. We’ve seen creative Vision GT cars from Chevrolet, Nissan, Toyota and much more, and soon, Hyundai will debut their new car for the online Playstation world at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.

Hyundai is currently without a performance brand, which will make whatever its Vision GT concept is seem very out of line with its decidedly humble product portfolio. However the brand is also launching its ‘N’ performance brand in tandem with the debut of its Vision GT car, AutoGuide reports.

Just like BMW’s ‘M’ division or Cadillac’s ‘V’ division, ‘N’ will be tasked with creating performance versions of the brand’s standard cars and will also oversee Hyundai’s motorsports ventures. Hyundai’s 2016 i20 WRC car will be shown at Frankfurt, along with the Vision GT concept and the mid-engine RM15 concept first shown in April of this year.

Keep an ear and an eye out for Hyundai’s big announcement at Frankfurt on Tuesday, September 15.
