Attention British pickup truck enthusiasts, Volkswagen has just debuted the Amarok Atacama Edition, a truck designed specifically with you in mind. Named after the Atacama Desert in South America, the limited edition pickup offers a bundle of standard equipment designed to give the Amarok a more rugged, outdoorsy look.
All Amarok Atacama Edition pickups will come equipped with bi-xeneon headlights, ‘Atacama’ exterior decals, 17-inch ‘Albany’ alloy wheels, a matte-black rear bumper, tinted windows and special ‘Horizon Blue’ paint. The only engine offering is VW’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel, which produces 177 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, however an eight-speed automatic is also offered.
Inside, occupants will notice ‘Quad’ cloth upholstery, a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel and a standard naivagation system with Bluetooth connectivity.
Just 500 Amarok Atacama Editions will be produced, each starting from £33,202.
