Meet Bjørn Nyland.
An unabashed Tesla Motors fan from Norway, Bjørn is perhaps one of the most visible Model S owners in the world. He is constantly updating his personal YouTube channel with new videos that document the ownership experience, and in fact one of them – which follows the experience of winter driving in Norway in the pure-electric sedan – has an impressive 275k views at the time of this writing.
It’s no wonder, then, that Bjørn Nyland has won himself a Tesla Model X “Founder’s Edition” electric crossover, with some $25,000 in options.
The good folks at Autoblog shared the news, reporting that toward the end of July, Tesla Motors kicked-off a Model S referral program. Basically, it was announced that the first person in North America, Europe, or Asia to refer 10 new customers to the electric sedan would win a Tesla Model X CUV.
Using his YouTube presence as a tool, Bjørn Nyland met that challenge in short order, securing all 10 referrals in less than 2 weeks. Each of those 10 global customers must actually take delivery of their Model S sedans before Mr. Nyland officially secures himself a Tesla Model S Founder’s Edition, but CEO Elon Musk has already announced him the conditional winner.
