2016 Shelby Mustang GT350R To Be Auctioned For Charity At Cattle Baron’s Ball

The Cattle Baron’s Ball is an annual single-night fundraiser held in support of American Cancer Society. This year’s edition of the swanky Metro Detroit affair will be extra-special, with Ford planning to auction off a one-of-a-kind 2016 Shelby Mustang GT350R at the ball.

Ford isn’t selling just any Mustang GT350R at the event. The special Cattle Baron’s Ball Mustang features a unique red, white and blue paint scheme and is the very first GT350R Mustang equipped with the optional Ford Performance rear seat, so you can take the family along with you on your spirited Sunday drive.

The Mustang also features blue accent stitching on the steering wheel, dash and seats and other unnamed features that Ford says are intended to attract extra attention to potential bidders at the ball. Though considering the hype surrounding the GT350R and its current limited availability, we have a feeling the GT350R will have no issues at all attracting a high-bidding new owner.

“We are customizing this unique Shelby GT350R Mustang to attract the highest possible bids from car collectors and, ultimately, the most money to support American Cancer Society research, programs and services for cancer survivors and their loved ones,” said Ford Motor Company group vice president for Global Purchasing and Honorary Chair of the Cattle Baron’s Ball, Hau Thai-Tang.

If you’re unable to physically attend the Cattle Baron’s Ball on September 26th, you can place call-in bids for the Mustang, as well. Those interested in placing call in bids may call Christine Kenny at 248-663-3414 for more information.

Happy bidding!
