Matthew McConaughey’s previous commercials for Lincoln were an absolute hit, so it was no surprise that Lincoln brought the Academy Award winning actor back to promote the 2016 MKX crossover. But while his MKC commercials were a bit quirky and even somewhat humorous at times, this new spot presents a much more serious, Don Draper-like McConaughey .
As far as car commercials go, this one’s pretty standard: well-dressed, handsome guy goes for a drive in his luxury crossover or sedan. However we happen to think it’s particularly well done, from the background music to the ‘It Stays With You’ tagline, the whole thing is just so suave.
We doubt this spot will garner the attention for Lincoln the ‘Bull’ commercial for the MKC did, but we think it’s a good way to promote the launch of the 2016 MKX. Check it out above, and feel free to let us know what you think in the comments.
