Porsche AG Announces Full Support For Race Car Servicing

If you read this website, clearly you’re the sort of person who keeps a Porsche 917 or three in the garage, waiting for those rare track events whereupon you can actually drive them. So, you’ll be interested to know that according to Petrolicious, Porsche AG has just announced its full support for the restoration, repair, storage, and maintenance of all vintage Porsche race cars.

This is just the latest effort by Porsche AG’s “Porsche Classic” division to see to the preservation and continued enjoyment of the marque’s historic models. In its quest to preserve a rich history, Porsche AG has amassed an enormous address book of qualified, reputable shops around the world, and the automaker already has the mountain of necessary historical literature to ensure a flawless job.

The only deviation, says Petrolicious, is that Porsche AG will fit more recent safety equipment wherever warranted. The German marque says that’s especially important in the case of its old Group C racing cars, like the 956 and 962C.

Because you probably have a few of those lying around, as well.
