Producer Vin Diesel Confirms Three More ‘Fast And Furious’ Movies

Fans of the Fast and Furious movie franchise will be happy to learn that actor and producer Vin Diesel has just confirmed a final trilogy of instalments to end the series.

Variety reports that previously, what would be the eighth, ninth, and tenth movies in the series were somewhat in limbo, as Universal Studios struggled to find a suitable director. Vin Diesel has stated that the task of finding a director for the last three Fast and Furious films will not be taken lightly, and that he will announce the director (or directors) for movies eight, nine, and ten in his next Facebook post.

Mr. Diesel wrote on Facebook that his “producing partner Neal [Moritz] would love for me to just sign off on a director, but this is too special a franchise, so these matters have to be very carefully handled. To be clear, NO ONE has been offered to helm Fast 8 yet … let alone seen a script.” The eighth instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise had been slated for April 14th, 2017. There is no word yet on whether that date might be moved back.
