Germany’s B&B Tunes 2015 VW Passat To 300 Horses, 464 Pound-Feet Of Torque

German tuning company B&B got its hands on the 2015 Volkswagen Passat, and the result is two different tunes for the new midsize sedan and wagon from Wolfsburg.

To note, B&B is one of the first tuning groups to take a stab at tuning the new Passat, and their configuration of choice being the model equipped with the 2.0-liter bi-turbodiesel, four-cylinder engine. In stock form, the engine produces a healthy 240 horsepower and a very brawny 369 pound-feet of torque, the latter being delivered at 1,750 RPM via a seven-speed DSG, and put to the ground via Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. Anyone purchasing the Passat in the above variation was already sure to crack more than a few smiles, but B&B wants drivers to be grin the whole way home after installing their power packages, which are as follows.

  • To start, there’s the entry-level package that costs $1,550 USD. It takes the factory numbers and pushes them to 275 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque — still a substantial kick for the German midsizer. But wait, there’s more.
  • For $4,741 USD, the tuning group will boost the engine’s output to 300 horsepower and an absolutely staggering 464 pound-feet of torque. The performance enhancements allow the 2.0-liter to perform the 0-62 mph sprint in 6.3-seconds, which is 0.8 seconds quicker than the stock model.

The added power in both packages is the result of increased boost pressure, and in the pricier (read: more fun) package, optional air induction, air flow and charge air cooling. A stainless-steel exhaust is also part of the price tag.

For those who want to enhance the look of their VW Passat, B&B is also offering exterior upgrades that furnish a muscular yet tasteful look. A suspension lowering kit is provided, and B&B offers a handful of 19-20-inch wheel designs for customers to choose from, followed by more custom body enhancements for the 2015 VW Passat.

Put us down for the pictured 2015 VW Passat Variant — the wagon — in black.
