With the launch of the new Ford Explorer, speculation began to arise that Ford’s eight-passenger station wagon, the Flex, would meet its demise. However it turns out that this will not be the case with evidence from the latest spy shots.
Design wise, it seems the Flex will be borrowing cues from its platform mate, the Explorer. A new front end with a corporate grill, angular headlights, a revised front fascia, new wheels, and a new tailgate highlight the exterior.
Not much is known about the changes inside, but we’re guessing MyFordTouch will be included. Also, Ford will be pulling some of their tricks for fuel economy. Will that mean a 4-Cylinder EcoBoost will be offered? No one knows at the moment.
