By The Numbers: Ford Increases Sales By 6.2% In October 2011
Ford Motor Company had quite the month in October 2011, increasing sales of Ford and Lincoln products by 6.2 percent to 167,803 units in the United States. Sales of the Ford brand were up 12.6 percent to 161,709 units, with the biggest year-over-year gains seen by the Explorer (224.7 percent), Expedition (34.5 percent), Escape (30.6 percent), and Ranger (63.5 percent). Year-over-year Lincoln sales during the month were down 10.8 percent, with only the MKX and MKZ showing an increase in sales of 5.6 and 5.4 percent, respectively.
