Poll: Does The 2013 Mustang GT500 Make Too Much Power?

Ford shocked the auto world when it announced 650 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque for the 2013 Shelby GT500 and its 5.8 liter supercharged V8. Any Mustang enthusiast knows that the current-generation 2012 model, with its 550 horses and 510 lb.-ft. of torque, has issues putting all that power to the ground in an effective manner… and adding 100 extra ponies and 90 pound-feet of torque can’t possibly help that one bit.

And that’s the reason for our poll: did The Blue Oval make a mistake in adding all that power to the ‘Stang, when it should have directed its efforts at making that power usable? As it stands, all bets are off until we actually get behind the wheel of the 2013 Shelby and see for ourselves… but knowing what we know about the 2012 model, what do you think?
