Ford Sells More F-Series Trucks Year-To-Date In 2013 Than In All Of 2012

Ford has achieved a notable milestone today by selling more F-Series trucks year-to-date in 2013 than in all of 2012. Total F-Series sales for 2013 now exceed 645,316 units, and are on track to set the highest yearly sales total since 2006.

With 63,803 units sold, October marked the sixth-straight month where F-Series sales surpassed 60,000 units. According to a Ford news release, the last time the automaker sold more than 60,000 trucks for six consecutive months was 2006.

“If our truck business continues at this rate through the end of the year, we will reach 60,000 F-Series sales for eight straight months, putting us on par with 2006, before the economic downturn,” said Erich Merkle, Ford sales analyst.
