Poll: Should Ford Call The 2.3L EcoBoost-Powered Mustang “SVO”?

Earlier, we speculated about whether Ford will use the SVO name on the 2.3-liter EcoBoost-powered 2015 Mustang. And while some circumstances indicate that this is most certainly possible, some of you wrote to us expressing your opinions about the matter.

For starters, since the ‘Stang with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost I4 would slot in below the V8-powered GT would slot in below the V8-powered GT and other higher-performance variants, some of you didn’t like it wearing the SVO badge because it wasn’t the flagship of the Mustang line; by contrast, the only other Mustang to be called SVO was the range-topper (albeit roughly two decades ago). Others wrote in telling us that they preferred the name “Mustang EcoBoost” over “SVO”. And yet several others simply thought that SVO was too “old school” for a modern, turbo-charged pony, and didn’t like the name at all.

Given the diversity of opinion, we decided to open the topic up to anyone who would vote in our poll. So, vote away. And if you have an opinion, please use the comments section below — because it’s way better than writing to us privately.
