Autobytel Names Ford Fiesta ST Its 2014 Compact Of The Year

It seems like every other day a new award recognizing greatness in the automotive world, with one of the latest being the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST named the Autobytel 2014 Compact Car of the Year.

Autobytel is one of the first automotive online research websites established, and has been providing automotive consumer research via the Internet since 1995. And we can definitively see how the subcompact Fiesta ST earned its merit, with its 1.6-liter EcoBoost turbo four pushing a highly-sufficient 197 horsepower and 202 lb.-ft. of torque. It drives like a thrill ride, but also has a mildly sensible side with its 29 MPG highway rating.

In North America, the Ford Fiesta ST also enjoys being king of the subcompact hatch segment, with unrivaled performance figures for a surprising MSRP of just over $21,000. With that in mind, it’s hard to think of any new car on the market that can offer so much excitement for relatively so little money. We tip our hat in The Blue Oval’s general direction for a product well-made and for making it available in the U.S. of A.
