Ford, Rent The Runway Team Up For A Fashion Fusion

Ford Motor Company is collaborating with designer fashion and accessory rental firm Rent the Runway to provide consumers throughout the U.S. with more fashion in clothes, accessories, and cars. Dubbed Test Drive Style, the campaign will allow the two organizations to give female fashionistas a chance to try hot new designs and to win a new Ford Fusion.

Ford group marketing manager Amy Marentic believes that the automaker has to keep the savvy female consumer in mind while creating innovative and classy vehicles. As such, Rent the Runway and Ford fancy themselves a perfect for each other since both offer products that are dashing and affordable. As a result  the collaboration aims to allow any busy woman to become chic — in clothing/accessories and in what she drives — while tackling everyday life.

In order to participate, interested individuals must register on this website between February and June 2014. The winner will receive a $1,000 gift card to Rent the Runway’s closet along with a brand new Ford Fusion. The two companies also plan on hitting the streets of New York and Los Angeles in the spring to give people a chance to pick their favorite styles and register for the contest.

To note, Rent the Runway was created by Harvard Business School peers Jennifer Hyman and Jennifer Fleiss. The company has more than 50,000 designer dresses and accessories offered to the consumer for pennies on the dollar.
