What Ford released as the Nearly Double ad teaser for the 2014 Super Bowl turned out to be a spot for its Fusion Hybrid, which gets “nearly double” (get it?) the fuel economy of the average vehicle. And since Ford likes double, it’s following up the initial 30-second-long commercial with one that’s double the length and double the awesomeness. Why? To make the point that the Fusion Hybrid has nearly double the fuel economy of the average vehicle. And to make history.
Watch the spot, featuring James Franco and a roaring tiger, Rob Riggle and a tiny pup, as well as fireworks, explosions, and flying jets, for yourself:
The Motrolix Take
The Fusion Hybrid gets nearly double the fuel economy of the average vehicle, eh?
They drove the point home alright.
