Lincoln To Display New 2015 Navigator And MKC At Barrett-Jackson Auction

Lincoln Motor Company is poised to show off the new 2015 Navigator and MKC at Barrett-Jackson‘s Palm Beach (FL) auction April 11-13, 2014, which is Lincoln’s first-ever official appearance at the event.

Attendees will be offered “exclusive driving experiences” with its current roster while having a first look at the 2015 models. According to Global Lincoln Director Matt VanDyke, Lincoln is “especially excited to showcase our all-new Lincoln MKC small premium utility and significantly refreshed Navigator to the public in South Florida.”

The new 2015 Lincoln Navigator boasts a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6, which should produce at least 370 horses and 430 pound-foot of torque. In addition to the hike in power output, the new Navigator has been engineered with a much-improved ride, with more responsive handling through electronically-assisted steering and controlled dampening via Lincoln Drive Control. A premium Reserve Package, which includes larger polished wheels, Ziricote wood trim, chrome accented running boards, and additional leather touches, will help Lincoln recapture the premium SUV market from the Escalade.

The other new Lincoln, the 2015 MKC, is also powered by the EcoBoost motor but this one is a 285-horsepower turbocharged 2.3-liter four. Befitting a Lincoln, the MKC comes loaded with goodies including a Vista Roof, park out assist, and a voice-activated navigation system. An interesting feature is the Approach Detection, which not only illuminates healights, taillights, and door handles upon approaching the vehicle, but also throws an illuminated welcome mat for the driver. Lincoln seems to have a a nice Lexus-fighter in the 2015 MKC.

Stay tuned for reviews and reactions to the 2015 Lincoln models.
