New Bentley SUV Teased In Official Video Clip

News relating to Bentley’s first production SUV has been floating around the interwebs for a couple of years now, but the blokes from Crewe are finally giving the world some tangible information regarding this vehicle’s design in this latest teaser video.

Bentley Motors originally displayed a concept SUV, titled the EXP 9 F, at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle appeared production ready, but negative reaction towards its exterior design sent Bentley’s design team back to the drawing board.

At the moment, we can’t see much of Bentley’s latest sport utility, but the visible front fascia basically consists of an enlarged version of the Mulsanne flagship’s front grille, flanked by headlamps resembling the little-brother Continental. Other design elements include sizable 5-spoke rims, and engine-side grilles, with the roofline descending sharply from the rear doors back.

Confirmed news is short at the moment, but what we do know is that production will begin in the year 2016, with various engine options including a plug-in hybrid option slated for the following year. Such a time-table will coincide closely with the Volkswagen Auto Group’s other high-class SUV, the Lamborghini Urus.
