2016 Ford Mustang GT350 Caught Testing At Nürburgring: Video

The 2015 Ford Mustang and Mustang GT that debuted last December in five locations around the world gave the public an idea on what new-gen steed was going to look like. However, since then, there’s been a lot of speculation of what the replacement for the Shelby model will be. Pictures and videos have leaked on the Internet, including this 2016 Ford Mustang GT350 prototype spotted at Nürburgring.

The GT350 is set to slot between the previous generation’s Boss 302 and Shelby GT500. While it is being referred to as the GT350, MotorAuthority.com says that it’s possible that Ford will revive other historic names (such as Cobra or Mach 1) instead. Either way, Ford is planning to drop the Shelby title from the vehicle to highlight the development by Ford’s SVT team.

The video displays the GT350’s wider track over the stock 2015 Mustang GT’s. Other notable details include front fender vents, quad exhaust tips, front spoiler and rear diffuser, and carbon ceramic brakes. As of this writing, there’s no word on whether forced induction will be used on the Coyote V-8.
