Here’s Some Info On 2015 Mustang Fuel Economy

Fuel economy concerns ebbs and flows with time. After the oil embargo of the 1970s, manufacturers made sure to state the MPG in ads. After rising gas prices and the economic downturn of 2009, fuel economy once again became a concern for consumers − even for performance cars like the Mustang. While not quite official just yet, we have information on what kind of numbers the 2015 Mustang will turn thanks to Mustang6g.com.

Mustang6g.com posted window stickers that reveal some insight to information that Ford has yet to officially announce:

  • 2.3L EcoBoost (manual): City 22/Highway 31/Combined 26
  • V6 Mustang (manual): City 17/Highway 28/Combined 21
  • V6 Mustang (auto): City 19/Highway 28/Combined 22

Currently they have no information on the GT’s 5.0 V8, but the outgoing model has a rating of City 15/Highway 26/Combined 19. Considering the 2015 V6 gets slightly worse mileage than the 2014’s, it would not be surprising if the V8’s mileage suffers slightly too.

Of course, when these numbers are official, we’ll be here to bring it to you.
