2015 Lincoln MKC Misses Top Government Safety Ratings, Other Ratings Pending

The new 2015 Lincoln MKC crash safety ratings have been released and it falls short of the top marks made by the competition.

During Federal Government crash testing, the 2015 Lincoln MKC received an overall rating of four stars out of five.  The big issues seem to be the frontal impact tests. Unsurprising, both the 2015 Lincoln MKC and the Ford Escape (the Lincoln is closely related to it), failed to achieve five stars during this test.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has yet to test the SUV, yet the 2014 Ford Escape was given a “poor” rating in the new small overlap test.

Both the Mazda CX-5 and Subaru Forester received a top five-star rating and an IIHS Top Safety Pick+.

The 2015 Lincoln MKC may not have a top five-star rating, yet it does come with a host of safety features like active park assist, lane-keeping system, blind spot monitoring with cross-traffic assist.
