Sales of Ford vehicles in the European Union grew to 101,399 units in September 2014, up 6.7 percent on a year-over-year basis, according to figures posted by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA).
Ford’s 6.7 percent growth slightly outpaced the industry in the EU market, which grew 6.4 percent to 1,235,501 units in September 2014 from the 1,161,361 units in September 2013.
In the period lasting from January 2014 through September 2014, Ford sold 723,008 vehicles — up 7.3 percent compared to the same time period in 2013. The results also outpaced those of the industry at large for the time frame, with the industry growing at a rate of 6.1 percent to Ford’s 7.3 percent.
