Tesla Teases New Model And “Something Else”

Elon Musk, CEO California’s Tesla Motors, has teased what seems to be a new model for the all electric car company. After much success surrounding the Model S, including winning Car Of The Year from Motor Trend, and the Model X slated for delivery this time next year, it seems Tesla is ready to introduce us to its newest creation.

Musk tweets, it is “about time to unveil the D and something else,” with an accompanying photo which mentioned a date, October 9th.

Interesting enough, this seems to be the first we’ve heard of a what Musk calls “Model D.” Previously, it had been announced a midsize vehicle titled “Model 3” would be forthcoming. Could this be an affordable Tesla for the masses? Or a smaller CUV to slot below the Model X? The public will know soon enough, as mentioned above, October 9th is the slated date for more information.

The teaser image Tesla provided shows the front end of a vehicle with corporate Tesla looks. The vehicle peeks out of a garage door with the letter “D” etched in. Your guess is as good as ours as to what the Model D will preview, but the “something else” part leaves it wide open as what else could be on the way from Tesla.

It certainly is an exciting time to be an Tesla aficionado, with this news it could mean three all new vehicles are on the way. Stay tuned for more news on the Model D and the other surprise Mr. Musk has up his sleeve.
