Galpin Auto Sports (GAS) recently debuted a 50th Anniversary Mustang tribute at the 2014 SEMA Show, but GAS is a lot more than just a tuner − GAS is a part of the Galpin dealer group that includes the Los Angeles-based Galpin Ford, America’s largest Ford dealership. Come next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show, GAS will unveil the “Ultimate American Muscle Car.” Otherwise known as the Galpin Rocket.
Created by noted automotive designer Henrik Fisker in conjunction with GAS, the carbon fiber-bodied Galpin Rocket will likely be based on the Mustang due to the muscle car allusion and the Ford connection. Fisker himself is no stranger to greatness, having designed such fine vehicles as the BMW Z8, Aston Martin DB9 and V8 Vantage, and the plug-in hybrid bearing his name, the Fisker Karma. The Danish designer currently lives in Los Angeles and is the founder of HF Design.
The Galpin Rocket will be revealed on November 20, 2014 at 11:05 am in the Concourse Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
