Tesla Model S By Unplugged Performance: SEMA 2014

Look with your eyes, not with your foot; this tasty Tesla Model S P85+ may have been modified by Tesla accessories company Unplugged Performance, but it likely doesn’t boast any considerable performance advantage over the factory car.

Oh, but what a feast for the eyes.

This Tesla Model S shows off some of the aggressively-styled body bits from the Unplugged Performance Tesla-focused “tuning” company. Here, “tuning” is in quotes as the firm as yet to offer any “tuning” upgrades for sale, i.e. firmware upgrades, electric motor enhancements or replacements, etc.

The Unplugged Performance car wears some very racy front and rear diffusers, sleeker side skirts, a spoiler on the deck lid, and sport headlights. All of this equipment, while adding a flair of performance intentions to the look of the car, is understated enough to remain tactful and palatable. The deck-lid spoiler in particular adds a certain little je ne sais quoi that the factory car could arguably use.

We’re not quite sure about those wheels, though; for such a smoothly flowing sculpture as the Tesla Model S, we wish the folks at Unplugged Performance had considered something a little less sparse and interruptive.
