This Is The 2015 Hennessey VelociRaptor

The all-new 2015 Ford F-150 is barely out of the gate, yet Hennessey has already worked its magic to turn the aluminum-bodied pickup into the 2015 Hennessey VelociRaptor, in effect creating a unique substitute for the Raptor late and much-lamented Raptor.

According to Motor Trend, the Texas-based tuner started with a 2015 F-150 FX4 Super Crew with the 5.0-liter Coyote V8, added a Roots-type supercharger with 8 PSI of boost along with a high-flow air induction system, upgraded fuel injectors, and stainless-steel exhaust system, bringing power to an impressive 600 horses. Beyond the engine bay, the new Hennessey VelociRaptor features huge 33-inch BF Goodrich tires on 17-inch Hennessey wheels. You can make it even badder with geegaws such as custom off-road coil-over suspension, front winch, LED light bars, and Brembos.

Starting at $73,500, the 2015 VelociRaptor may appear pricey, but have you priced some pickups these days? With only 500 planned for 2015 and a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty straight from Ford, it could make for a rare collectible right among the likes of Shelby Mustangs and Focus RSs.

And those who want an actual Raptor are in luck, as the follow-up to the Raptor, but based on the all-new F-150, is expected to be introduced for the 2016 model year. Can’t go wrong either way.
