2016 Audi RS3 Sportback Pricing Leaks Online

Pricing for Audi’s recently revealed 2016 RS3 Sportback has leaked through a glitch in the automaker’s website, GTspirit reports. The RS3 was revealed to start at 56,600 euros in Germany, a significant price hike over the 40,400 euro S3 hatch.

Audi’s new RS3 features a 367 horsepower version of the automaker’s 2.5-liter TFSI five-cylinder engine, making it the most powerful performance compact car in its segment. Audi claims the car will accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.3 seconds and hit a top speed of around 174 mph, so long as the 155 mph top speed limiter has been removed.

The RS3 Sportback is scheduled for a debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Not surprisingly, the car will not be making the trans-atlantic swim to North America. Wagons and hatchbacks are a tough sell for Americans and the RS3 costs nearly $70,000 when converted to American funds, a price which would turn away many U.S. and Canadian consumers.

More detailed pricing information should become available when the RS3 makes its appearance in Geneva.
