Bentley May Call Its Upcoming Crossover Bentayga

If the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf is correct, then Bentley’s upcoming crossover will be named Bentayga.

Bentley introduced the concept crossover as the EXP 9 F, with Bentley reportedly explaining that the ‘F’ stood for Falcon. And so many were led to believe that the production vehicle would be named Falcon. But trademark filings say otherwise, with Bentley having registered the Bentayga name.

To our surprise Bentayga is not some sort of prescription drug, or a form of the Russian area Tayga. Instead, the name references a rock formation on Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands.

Expect the Bentley Bentayga to, without a doubt, surpass any luxury crossover in amenities and price. A gasoline V12 engine is expected to be amongst the engine choices, as well as a handful of other powertrain options, including a hybrid.
