Bentley Partners With HTP Motorsport For 2015 GT3 Season

Looking to build on the success of the Continental GT3, Bentley Motorsports has announced that it will join forces with HTP Motorsport team for the 2015 season of the FIA GT3 series. The new Bentley Team HTP will run five cars across Europe in the 2015 season, thereby bringing the Continental GT3 to a few new events such as the ADAC GT Masters and Blancpain Sprint Series.

The Continental GT3 won two Blancpain Endurance Series rounds and finished second in both the Drivers’ and Teams’ Endurance Championships, HTP Motorsport was the runner-up in the overall Blancpain GT Series standings. With the new pairing, both parties re seeking even better results. HTP’s successes and achievements include winning the Total 24 Hours of Spa, the 1000 km of Nürburgring, and both the Blancpain Endurance Series drivers’ and runners-up titles.

“HTP Motorsport is a racing organisation of the very highest calibre, with six championships and 20 race wins to their name, and so I’m delighted that they are the latest team to show confidence in our Continental GT3 through partnering with us”, said Bentley Director of Motorsport, Brian Gush. “Europe is where Bentley’s motorsport heritage is based, and this collaboration is the important next step in our plan to expand our GT3 programme. I’m looking forward to working with HTP throughout 2015, and to seeing them race successfully in new series for Bentley”.

Bentley Motorsports faces some stiff competition from other automakers in the Blancpain GT series in particular, ranging from Ferrari’s 458 Italia to the Chevrolet Corvette z06, but the pairing of the two teams aims to take the Continental GT3 to even greater heights.
