Watch A WRC Audi S1 With 600 Horsepower Race A Miniature Remote Controlled Replica Of Itself: Video

Which is faster, a World Rallycross Championship-spec Audi S1 powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine making 600 horsepower and all-wheel drive, or a remote-controlled 1:10 scale replica of itself? You’d be forgiven for choosing the latter, but you won’t overlook the advantages a miniature RC car has over a full-size WRC car ever again after watching the video below.

Driven by WRC racer Mattias Ekström, the Audi S1 Rallycross must to navigate the multiple obstacles set up for the race, while its remote-controlled replica, driven by German RC champion Micha Widmaier, can simply go underneath them. The real S1, meanwhile, is a little faster in the straights, but it has nothing on the maneuverability of the minuscule RC car.

So can Widmaier’s toy beat Ekström’s full-size toy for the big boys? See for yourself in the video below. And no matter who wins, let’s use this video as proof that small cars can be big fun, especially with 600 horsepower.
