Ken Block Gives A Walkaround Tour Of His Ford Raptortrax: Video

How does building an everything-proof custom Ford F-150 Raptor with tank-like all-terrain tracks sound?

Freakin’ amazing? Yeah, we thought so too. That’s why when we here at Motrolix saw the video below, wherein Ken Block gives a walkaround tour of his beastly go-anywhere Raptor, not a single jaw kept off the floor.

Presenting Ken Block’s Ford Raptortrax. The most obvious modification to the truck is the all-terrain Mattracks setup installed on all four corners. Block says that each of the four tracks weighs in at about 350 pounds – quite a bit of unsprung mass. So the suspension was upgraded to cope.

And then we take a peak under the Ford Raptortrax hood, which conceals even more good news; it’s powered by a 6.2-liter V8, plus a Whipple supercharger. In this state, the mill is good for “roughly” 650 HP. So it’s up quite a few ponies from the stock 6.2’s 411 HP, and even the new Raptor’s 450 HP turbocharged-six.

Of course, these modifications represent only the meat and potatoes of Ken Block’s excellent Ford Raptortrax; it comes with plenty of garnish as well. Watch the video below for Mr. Block’s guided tour:
