The World’s First ‘Tesla Hotel:’ Weird

If you own a Tesla Model S, chances are that you’re quite taken with the car. After all, why would you put up that much cash for a premium all-electric vehicle you’re not crazy about?

So you take out a loan, shell out a hefty deposit, and things are rosy. You save money by never having to visit the pump, and oh, what a car to make the commute in!

But then you get to thinking maybe there’s something more that your Tesla can be doing for your pocketbook. You look into it, and are amazed to find that no one has ever thought of turning their Model S into hotel-like accommodations for weary travelers. Cha-ching!

That is (we imagine) more-or-less the train of thought which led to the world’s first “Tesla Hotel.” A man with a condo in Phoenix, Arizona is renting out the electric luxury sedan on Airbnb to one or two people at a time, with a cozy air mattress in the back.

No, you don’t actually get to drive the car; the owner needs it for the commute to work. And no, he doesn’t drive you in the Tesla Hotel to a scenic, novel location for the night; you’ll be sleeping in the back of the car, in his garage. Attached to his condo. In Phoenix, Arizona.

But wait, there’s more! You’ll also have access to the owner’s private kitchen, living room, and full bathroom. Sadly, the owner kind of needs you out of there by 8 am so he can drive the Tesla Hotel away to work, so please, wake and pack early.
