New Ford GT Stuns Chicago In Silver: CAS 2015

We were on hand to capture the unveiling of the monstrous new Ford GT at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, shown to much praise and applause by everyone who crossed its path. And Ford has now brought the new GT to the windy city, this time stunning us with a gorgeous silver hue on its new supercar.

Officially titled “Liquid Silver” by Ford, the color is complemented by titanium-colored racing stripes that are decidedly un-GT like. But the modern-day supercar pulls it off with authority and attention. The silver and titanium are highlighted by glossy black wheels, ditching the smoked aluminum-look wheels from the GT covered in liquid blue in Detroit. And though the wheels on this silver GT are different, they’re still wrapped in familiar Michelin sport rubber.

Seeing the Ford GT in the flesh with this tantalizing silver hue only whets our palette for the coming color combinations, and we eagerly await the day when a Ford GT configurator comes online to let us customize it to our heart’s desire. For instance, we’d love to see how the GT looks in red with white racing stripes.

For now, we’ll have to enjoy our second look at the Ford GT, for the first time in silver, and leave the customization to our own imaginations.
